It a very nice bed frame, and comfortable without a box spring. Sturdy, and up off the floor enough to store things underneath. I'm an average size man,5'10" and my feet don't touch the floor when I'm sitting on it! Our old wooden headboard (just for looks )bolted right up to the holes. Also the rounded corners at the foot have saved my wife's shins and toes.
